My Story
Having worked as a non-denominational Officiant since 1998 is a reflection of my religious and spiritual background, being raised within an interfaith family. This brought on an interest in other cultures, languages and beliefs.
So in my early 20’s I took to the road and traveled the ancient civilizations of Europe, wandered through the religious sites of the Middle East and sat in meditative silence in Buddhist temples in Asia. In all of these places I found the beautiful and the exotic. Upon my return I graduated with a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Santa Cruz.
The knowledge I gained and the experiences I felt from the people I met and the places I visited were the beliefs that each of us has a desire to cultivate and cherish that sentiment of love with even the smallest acts of kindness: a soft touch, a listening ear, holding hands, the ability to love and to be loved. As having always been drawn to the sacred, it felt natural to begin my career as a Wedding Officiant.
