2023 Event Season Wrap Up!

Our 2023 event season has officially come to and end! We love taking a look back on all our amazing couples and the fun times had at both our venues, Hilltop Hacienda and Stone Creek Village!

We kicked off our season in April with Yalda and Saul’s beautiful wedding at Hilltop! The bride’s family set up a stunning Persian alter for the ceremony with traditional food and offerings for the couple. It was a sweet family affair to kick off our season!

Our first wedding weekend at Stone Creek was with Emily and David. The couple hosted their family friends for three nights complete with field games, ice breakers and tons of fun activities. The bride even lead a bootcamp workout the morning of her wedding! They capped off the weekend by stopping by Soquel Vineyard next door for some wine tasting on their way home!

May at Stone Creek started with Emily and Michael’s wedding retreat. The couple brought in Brilliant Event Lighting for a beautiful tent of lights and shared a sparkler first dance before the band Mercy and the Heartbeats kept people dancing all night long!

At Hilltop we celebrated with Emily (are you seeing a theme here?!) and Matt, who opted for a lawn ceremony and a sparkler exit.

May at Hilltop also saw Noimee and Niles, who had his dad officiate and brought in a chicken and waffles truck for late night bites.

Kelly and Mark rented farm tables to Stone Creek and the couple’s families created all the wedding florals.

Rebecca and Gregory held our smallest wedding of the year at Hilltop. Their 50 guests enjoyed a lawn ceremony and dinner on the terrace followed by a fun night of dancing in the courtyard.

May at Stone Creek finished up with two fun weekends! The first was hosted by Nina and Kyle, who brought in specialty rentals and saw a packed dance floor all night long. Felicia and Jordan hosted a 3 night event in which their guests enjoyed pool time, tie dye, massages and watching the bride’s exchange vows amongst the redwoods. May ended at the Hacienda with Rachael and Scott, whose beloved dog was a part of their ceremony!

June officially kicks off our kid’s summer camps and sees us enjoying solely Hilltop weddings all summer! Terra and Erik were our first June wedding and despite the bride having food poisoning the morning of her wedding (!) she rallied to enjoy her day, which included a taco bar and some truly stunning florals!

Elina and Matt welcomed family from as far away as Russia and entertained them with a photo booth and traditional Hora dance.

We also helped Radhika and Nelson celebrate their big day with the low key bride taking care of her own hair and make up needs! Our June 24th bride’s Felicia and Amanda are teachers at the same school and brought originality to their day, which include getting ready together, a black wedding dress and lots of sweet treats from Nothing Bundt Cake and Sweet Surf Ice Cream.

July began with our sweet couple Meghan and Aaron, who bucked tradition and walked down the aisle together. They also accepted a glass of champagne on their way back down the aisle as newlyweds! Jessica & Nicholas had his mom handle all the centerpieces and served popcorn as a party snack during dancing.

August began with Natalie and Vince having Eventscapes deck out the inside of the Hacienda with beautiful drapery and served a Croque en Bouche to celebrate her French ancestry.

Emily (you didn’t think we had seen the last Emily did you?!) and Dan pulled off a formal event with a plated meal, gelato cart, Booth Bus photobooth and The Lucky Devils playing the night away! Overnight camp ended in time for us to welcome Sophie and Thomas as our first couple back at Stone Creek. They truly delighted us all when the bride and groom joined in on a drum performance during the reception!

The next weekend saw Hannah & Ralph fly in from Germany to celebrate their weekend with guests from all over the world.

August ended with Mackenzie and Sean’s stunning wedding at Hilltop with a redwood ceremony and sparkler exit!

September saw us hosted our traditional Family Camp at Stone Creek where families can come and get a taste of camp life for their kiddos.

Hilltop kicked September weddings off with sweet Michelle and Michael, who had one of our favorite first looks of the year and had their guests going home with custom drink cozies.

Kristelle and Larry brought weddings back to Stone Creek, who handed out welcome bags at check in and had a friend take care of the florals. Devan and Kyle’s wedding at Hilltop marked the second family wedding to be held at Kennolyn with the bride’s parents having been the first in the mid 90s.

Stone Creek hosted a second family weekend for families to come and try out the camp adventures followed by Alicia and Matthias’ wedding retreat. The couple brought in guests from as far as Italy for a fun weekend filled with human bingo, welcome bags, campfire, a guided hike, a women’s circle and a whole lot of love!

Marina and Andy held our biggest wedding of the year at Hilltop. 175 guests enjoyed specialty wine brought in by the family, a multitiered wedding cake and lots of dancing!

Stone Creek saw September end with Taylor and Travis, who brought the good vibes all weekend. Starting with a guitarist for the welcome dinner, yoga before the wedding, Sweet Surf dishing up the goods and the night ended with late night bites in the lodge for the after party!

Monica and Nick opened our October weddings at Stone Creek with a Hollywood chic affair that included disco balls and a Taylor Swift inspired glitter make up station.

Rapport Leadership came through Stone Creek with a team building weekend that saw them taking advantage of our climbing wall and ropes course.

Naomi and Austin had one of the most incredible wedding weekends of the year from the custom pool floaties, to the beautiful signage to the stunning lighting tent built by Brilliant Event Lighting. We were in awe all weekend of the attention to detail and the incredible kind bride and groom and their wonderful guests!

Katherine and Aseem ended our October at Stone Creek where they had a traditional tea ceremony with their parents and laser tag around Town Square.

November weather held out long enough for our last four events of the season. It kicked off at Hilltop with Hannah and Bryan’s lovely wedding which saw moving tributes to his mom and a sweet dance between groom and his grandma.

Writing by Writer’s worksheet spent 5 days at Stone Creek working on their novels and enjoying the serene surroundings. Our last wedding of the season was Olivia and Greg’s which had a weed bar, wine from the bride’s father and a champagne tower. Rapport Leadership was back to close out our season right before Thanksgiving and they were the perfect to the year!

Thank you to all our amazing couples for allowing us to be a part of your special days! We truly loved having you and your guests on site and wish you all the love in the world!

Also a huge shout out to all the incredible vendors we worked with this year. It is a group effort and we’re so thankful for all your hard work!

See you in 2024!
